Job Purpose

 

As the Marketing Program Manager, you will be reporting to the Marketing Director, APJ. You will own and drive APJ regional communication, regional & partner events, and digital/demand generation programs in order to meet & exceed Sophos’ business goals. 

 

The role requires working closely with APJ field marketing, and corporate campaign and product marketing teams.

 

Main Duties

 

Regional communication planning and execution

Identify and drive the regional GTM communication plan and schedule, working with each marketing manager to:

  • Plan and manage the communications of general to-partner, customer & prospect updates for the business, working with the relevant Sophos team(s) on the subject matter.  Create and share the communication plan for each topic/ audience with regional marketing managers, ensuring it is consistent, appropriate, and coordinated with wider Sophos communications.
  • Identify the optimal communication channels for each activity and work with the relevant teams to deliver them effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with field marketing teams on all communications, ensuring that they are aligned with field goals and strategies.

 

Regional Digital Demand Generations Programs

Own multi-region demand generation activities, primarily digital, delivered centrally for maximum efficiency and consistency.

  • Plan, coordinate and drive centralized activities to meet regional business needs.  Ensure effective collaboration and communication with field marketing teams at all times.
  • Manage regional digital budget and co-ordinate activities with corporate marketing team
  • Report and review with regional marketing managers.
  • Continuously optimized for improved performance and ROI.

 

APJ partner conferences and regional events

  • Work with regional director to agree conference objectives, and a responsibility and decision-making framework to guide all conference planning and activity.
  • Deliver agreed cross-region conference activities on time and to budget.
  • Work closely with the Sophos event management team and 3rd party contractors on all elements of the conference, ensuring that the conferences are delivered to the highest standard and brand guidelines.
  • Plan and co-ordinate post-conference follow-up activities to maximize RoI.
  • Manage all relevant areas of budget effectively.

 

Reporting

  • Provide regular reports on the performance of marketing activities, including recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
  • Identify key metrics required to support the business and work with marketing operations to deliver as appropriate.

 

 

 

Skills & Experience

 

Essential:

  • Working within a regional marketing team
  • Event management
  • Marketing business-to-business solutions in a technology company
  • Executing results-driven marketing plans for both new business and customer
  • Working with a range of stakeholders to achieve business goals
  • Creation of marketing campaigns using websites, email, newsletters, direct mail events and social media
  • Using CRM systems to measure and report  return-on-investment for campaigns and other activities against set objectives
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Managing a fixed budget
  • Must be able to travel within APJ region from time to time
  • Must be able to work non-standard hours from time to time and be able to co-ordinate activities across both APJ and with EMEA and Americas based marketing teams.

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the IT Security Market
  • Digital/media planning experience
