Content Creation Specialist

 

Role Purpose

 

Help global SDRs cut through noise to start meaningful conversations with prospective customers and demonstrate the value that Sophos brings to organizations of all sizes. This role combines the art of content creation with the science of data analytics and sales automation to drive the success entire SDR teams in their outbound and inbound sales efforts.

 

This will be done largely through written communications (email and text) that complement phone-based prospecting activities. One major objective of this role is to elegantly combine written and voice communications for outbound and inbound sales prospecting conversations to drive awareness of Sophos and increase the number of sales discovery conversations that our SDR team are able to have with customers and prospects. Another key objective is to make use of sales automation tools to optimize content and sequence designs to give allow SDR teams to maximize the volume and quality of sales opportunities at Sophos. Ultimately, the role requires creativity, clear communication, knowledge of sales strategies, an analytical approach to problem solving, and a deep understanding of the different customer profiles that Sophos sell to.

 

The role holder will do this through the Sales Engagement Platform, Outreach. And, in collaboration with a wide support network, that includes our Marketing, Product Management and Sales Development teams.

 

Day to day, the role holder will be expected to provide a specialist service to the SDR function, creating, reviewing, revising and organising content. They will also be responsible for analysing the effectiveness of any content, testing new approaches, and implementing new sequences and considering different media (the use of video for example). They will be targeted against a set of related engagement metrics, keen to innovate and motivated by the desire to be an industry leader in the field of content creation and management.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborating with SDR managers and their teams to develop and deliver a high value content creation service
  • Developing a high level of market knowledge, and understanding of our ideal customer profiles
  • Creating, iterating, and publishing great sales content
  • Designing impactful sequences, in which content can sit
  • Building a systematic process for A/B testing (of subject lines, content and sequence structures)
  • Building meaningful KPIs to show levels of effectiveness and engagement
  • Reporting and communicating against them, and setting related improvement targets
  • Benchmarking to ensure the working practice, content and performance levels are ‘best in industry’
  • Analysing performance data and trends. And using this analysis to drive improvements
  • Partnering with colleagues in Marketing, Product Management and Sales, as potential inputs to the content creation process
  • Being the vocal expert of sales messaging best practices at Sophos
  • Designing processes for the receipt and execution of content requests
  • Empowering SDRs to aid creation process, and develop their content creation skills
  • Ensuring content is well organised, indexed, easy to find and always up to date
  • Managing user access to Outreach, deliver initial user training and orientation of content library. And higher level training interventions for seasoned users
  • Enabling SDRs to be effective, efficient and excited in use of Outreach
  • Recommending and overseeing integrations between Outreach and supporting applications
