Job Purpose

You will lead program management for Sophos’s Central Platform business unit.  Our platform supports tens of millions of devices and is a strategic growth driver for one of the world’s leading Cyber Security companies. You will define and drive our overall program process – with light gates applied to an agile development approach - and the tracking of our main product release programs and cross-team development projects against our plan and roadmap. You will work closely with the program management leaders for our other three business units, especially for the programs that have deliverables across the BUs.


Main Duties

  • Personally, organize and drive the delivery of multiple complex, geographically distributed, cross-functional programs
  • Work closely with the VP of Engineering (Sophos Platform), to support Engineering goals and on time project delivery
  • Track and report on the status of feature and capability delivery
  • Work with engineering and product leaders to ensure milestones are achieved on time
  • Proactively identify issues and roadblocks on major programs and find solutions
  • Refine and improve our overall program framework
  • Drive alignment with other business units
  • Understand the architecture of the proposed solutions and identify issues and dependencies on other programs or projects


Skills and Experience

  • Project/program management in an agile software product development environment
  • Experience delivering projects across multiple global sites
  • Proactively influencing and driving Directors and Managers to ensure that they deliver on project commitments
  • Management of multiple simultaneous projects and programs of between 2-18 months’ duration, from specification to delivery
  • Experience reporting out to executive-level stakeholders
  • Experience in a global SaaS company     
  • Cyber security industry or Platform experience would be desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
