As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will help develop high availability solutions running in the cloud which provide services available through REST API utilized by numerous Sophos- and OEM products. To succeed in this role you’ll be working on Linux, using Python and shell scripting, you can use and improve your knowledge in AWS technologies. As part of a cross-functional project team, your focus will be on the functional testing, test-automation, on the development of the framework implementing these.

This role is located in Budapest XI., Hungary and may require some travel to our other offices abroad – however in the current situation special rules apply (w.f.h.) 

Main duties: 

  • Participate in requirement-analysis, estimation and planning 

  • Write automated test cases 

  • Maintain and continuously improve test automation framework 

  • Improve the quality of the product, investigating and introducing new testing methods/tools 

  • Collaborate with software, system and other QA engineers in issue hunting

Essential skills: 

  • University/college degree in computer science 

  • Minimum 2 years experience in product testing/test automation 

  • Python 3.x programming 

  • Precise (very precise) work 

  • Comprehensive experience on Linux platform and shell scripting 

  • Excellent communication, documentation and problem solving skills 

  • Team player  

  • Fluent English 


Desirable skills: 

  • Proven test-system ownership 

  • Network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP) 

  • Virtualization technologies 

  • Cloud technologies (AWS) 

  • Security software testing 

  • Working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) environment  

  • Proficient in using development tools (source control, make, continuous integration etc.)
