This is a senior role within the NEMEA Field Marketing Team and is the overall strategic lead for end-user demand generation across the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.


Duties & Responsibilities


  1. Maximising Lead Generation - take overall responsibility for lead generation for UKIN, ensuring tracking and reporting on KPIs each quarter. Constantly review what is working, dig in to patterns, issues and investigate problems in lead generation and conversion. Work closely with the EMEA Sales Development Manager to understand SDR overall progress on leads and what we can do in Marketing to drive greater success.  
  2. End User Targeting Overall Lead – develop and deliver on the plan for targeting end users across the UKIN region, develop the appropriate direct go to market for new campaigns, product launches and messaging.
  3. Team Management – Effectively develop and lead a small team of direct reports ensuring they have clear objectives and a personal development plan. Recruit quality new hires as and when required, Support as 2IC for UKIN region and be a key contact for Senior Sales Leaders across the UKIN region.
  4. UKI Public Sector and Enterprise Marketing - work closely with sector leads to ensure a program of activity to deliver on Sales objectives and to drive success in these two important sectors for UKI. 
  5. Digital – work closely with the Global Digital Marketing Team on the marketing programs being run in UKIN and report back on the success of these activities.  Work closely with the SDR team on effective join up on digital campaigns to drive maximum success.  
  6. Sales Alignment – Build stakeholder relationships with the end-user sales management team within UKIN. Ensure that the full program of marketing activities (e.g. corporate campaigns, virtual events, face-to-face events, digital marketing and telemarketing) fulfils their requirements and supports them in achieving their quarterly sales targets.
  7. Planning, Reporting & KPIs - Ensure a clear program of activity is planned for each quarter and report back on results each quarter.
  8. Budget - Effectively manage and report on the marketing budget you own, ensuring all spend generates a clear ROI and is linked to agreed objectives for UKIN for the financial year.    


Special Conditions


  • Must be able to travel both within and outside of the UKI to other regions
  • Must be able to work non-standard hours from time to time, e.g. to attend events 


Organisational Responsibility


  • Reports to the Regional Director of NEMEA Marketing and works closely with UKIN sales, company suppliers and Sophos Partners.
  • Part of the NEMEA Field Marketing Team and requires close working with all team members.


Required Experience


  • Marketing business-to-business solutions 
  • Line Management 
  • Creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns using email, direct mail, telemarketing, third-party lead generation, digital marketing and events
  • Creation of business marketing plans
  • Using CRM or other marketing systems to track marketing activities and investments
  • Budget management
  • Experience of working within a global, channel-led organisation
  • Not essential but knowledge and experience of the tech sector would be an advantage






  • Educated to degree level or equivalent




  • Marketing qualification, CIM or equivalent
