We are recruiting for three one-year Marketing internships/placement positions starting in June 2020.

Based within our UK Marketing teams, you will get involved in planning, creating, delivering, and measuring marketing activities, tailoring messages and content to your audiences and building collaboration expertise. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the world, increasing your knowledge and experience of a global business environment.

 

You are likely to have a demonstrable passion for marketing and are highly motivated to learn new skills within a results-driven environment. Couple this with a creative, can-do approach and a determination to succeed and you’ll be the right person to make the most of these great opportunities.

NEMEA Marketing Intern

 

  • Work with Marketing Managers to ensure that agreed marketing campaign activities are delivered to plan and within agreed timelines within budget including; creation of collateral, copy writing, proof reading, email creation
  • Be a key contact for our Marketing Operations team and SDR team to support intent marketing campaigns for the region
  • Input marketing leads into CRM system and run appropriate reports to check progression of leads from marketing activities
  • Work with suppliers to source print and branded merchandise securing three quotations to gain the best possible price and quality
  • Use internal systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Asana, Teams to update information, raise purchase requests and track expenditure
  • Provide copy and content for UK Marketing communications (Newsletters, Emails, presentations)
  • Use creative tools such as Taxi and Splash to build email and webpage templates for campaigns
  • Manage branded stock and print material and organise the distribution of these materials to both partners and end users when required
  • Help to ensure that NEMEA subsidiary teams, including sales, support and customer services, are kept up-to-date with planned marketing activities

 

NEMEA Event Marketing Intern

 

  • Work with the Event Manager and our Event Agency to ensure that events across NEMEA are delivered to plan and within budget and where necessary attend the events
  • Event logistical support: management of registrations, venue liaison, creation of delegate packs and event materials such as badges
  • Support the promotion of events to Sophos partner and endusers through email, social media, web and advertising
  • Input event leads into CRM system and run appropriate reports to check progression of leads
  • Work with suppliers to source print and branded merchandise securing three quotations to gain the best possible price and quality
  • Use internal systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Asana, Teams to update information, raise purchase requests and track expenditure
  • Use creative tools such as Taxi and Splash to build email and webpage templates for events
  • Manage branded stock and print material and organise the shipment of event materials
  • Help to ensure that NEMEA subsidiary teams, including sales, support and customer services, are kept up-to-date with planned events

 

Content Marketing Intern (global role)

 

  • Creating new social media content, including building social tiles and editing videos.
  • Running Facebook Live videos, including interviewing Sophos experts on camera.
  • Daily management of Sophos’ social media community; monitoring activity, identifying issues, posting approved content, tracking engagement.
  • Identifying top-performing social content and working with regional marketing teams to create and post localized versions (no translation skills needed).
  • Supporting the creation of the weekly Naked Security podcast, including prepping the studio, and creating promotional content.
  • Identifying new opportunities for Sophos e.g. spotting trends, topics, proposing platforms.
  • Participating actively in brainstorming ideas for new content, bringing your unique perspective as a student to the team.
  • Creating new marketing campaign assets, including toolkits, emails, videos.
  • Compiling the monthly product lifecycle update, working with the product marketing team to consolidate product information for the wider business.
  • Writing and editing articles for the Naked Security and Sophos News websites.

 

Skills and Experience

 

Essential

  • Current student of Marketing, Business or other relevant field
  • Good project management and organizational skills
  • Strong written skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of MS Office, particularly Excel

 

Desirable

  • Previous work experience in an office environment
  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques & social media
  • Passion for technology
