HR Systems & Operations Director

 

Are you a change agent with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently?  Come lead the build out of our HR Systems Strategy and Roadmap in this newly created role and increase the strategic value of the HR function at Sophos. Establish vision and prioritize changes that will drive the most value.  Play a key role in managing HR data and technology and help scale the organization globally through insights, self-service, and company-wide reporting and processes.

 

Main Duties:

  • Develop the HR systems roadmap, providing leadership and recommendations in the design, development, and automation of HRIS to maximize productivity and efficiency in support of organization objectives.
  • Work closely with HR and business stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate them into the roadmap.
  • Plan, budget, and forecast HR Systems needs and application requirements. Develop a strategy to optimize HRIS systems to meet requirements and drive accuracy and insights.
  • Act as subject matter expert and make recommendations in the standardization and implementation of global HR business processes, controls, best practices, and policies/procedures.
  • Proactively develop appropriate communication cadence and change methodology to support the broader HR team.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with HR, IT and other key functions on implementation of solutions.
  • Manage the design, configuration, testing, implementation, documentation, communication and training for new tools or changes to existing tools.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for decision-making and escalations ensuring goals and timelines are met and/or exceeded.
  • Work closely with IT to ensure a proper governance structure and change control process to evaluate, approve, and document process/system changes.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the HR Systems & Operations team, including the design and delivery of advanced reporting and dashboards.
  • Develop methods to measure effectiveness of programs, uncover insights and opportunities; and build capability within HR to utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of overall experience in HR operational roles
  • 5+ years of experience with medium to large scale system integration work.
  • 5+ years of experience in People Analytics, utilizing data to drive people insights and solutions across hiring, development, and retention.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness leveraging technology and/or outsourced providers to drive down costs and increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • An understanding of how HR technology can add value to the organization and how to prioritize implementations that provide the highest ROI
  • A demonstrated ability to translate vision into action, manage multiple priorities, improve operations, and maintain positive and productive relationships while delivering results.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to consider multiple audiences, bring people along and drive change throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to break down complex concepts and clearly explain them to people at all levels.
  • The ability to manage concurrent projects, prioritize work according to strategic goals and meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR Core, Benefits, and Payroll business processes.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Relentless focus on quality and accuracy.
