Job Purpose: 

We are currently recruiting an Education Account Manager to manage the key accounts (typically 3000+ users) across the school’s market in England and Wales.  This is a field-based role that requires the candidate to build and develop relationships with key education providers and the third parties supporting them. These include Multi Academy Trusts, Local Education Authorities, Internet and Managed Service Providers as well as our own network of resellers.

The role requires an in depth understanding of the Sophos Central Security Platform along with the ability to articulate its benefits to customers in this market.


Main Duties:


  • Achieve annual and quarterly billings quotas.
  • Achieve new business and product specific billings targets.
  • Manage the customer lifecycle from lead generation to customer acquisition and retention.
  • Manage relationships with key decision makers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Articulate the Sophos value proposition to develop opportunity within assigned accounts.
  • Engage and enable joint selling with key channel partners across the account base.
  • Visit customer sites to drive the sales process and increase close rates.
  • Collaborate with the Sophos Channel team on account planning and engagement with partners.
  • Create and actively manage a territory sales plan.


Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience of selling Cyber Security solutions, ideally into the Education sector.
  • Familiarity with Sophos solutions or comparable competitive products.
  • Knowledge of the cyber security industry, including competitors, market needs and trends.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • The discipline, drive and work rate to be successful in a competitive sales role.
