Role Summary

As a Product Management Intern for the network security team, you will work with the Product Management team to gain an understanding of the network security market.  You will perform research tasks to discover, describe, and quantify market problems, enabling the team to prioritize solutions based on their business impact and strategic fit.


What You Will Do

  • Research the market for products you are responsible for
  • Research and report on key competitors in the market
  • Learn about the Pragmatic Marketing framework for Product Management
  • Create and conduct surveys of customers, potential customers, and business partners to identify key market problems and gather evidence about their impact and the potential value of solutions
  • Document your research for reference by the team and deliver written reports and/or presentations as necessary
  • Draft product requirements and collaborate with engineering, user experience, and other delivery teams to communicate the business problem and desired solution and to gather input to refine the requirement detail
  • Assist with review and upkeep of product strategy, backlog information and feature requests in Aha!, JIRA and other internal IT systems


What You Will Bring

  • Coursework or other experience with IT systems, computer science, or software development
  • Coursework or other experience with market research
  • Understanding of statistical methods and skills in data analysis
  • Understanding of business operations – business planning, investment decision making, etc.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and oral
  • Attention to detail and self-motivation
  • Ability to analyze market feedback in-depth and uncover true needs and motivations
