Job Purpose:

At Sophos, we’re offering one of the most innovative Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services in the market. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with a background in cyber security, preferably in the MDR, EDR, or Security Operations space. You will be a highly visible member of the Sophos MTR team, owning the technical roadmap to enable optimal delivery of the MTR service.

You will leverage the latest cloud technology stacks, programmable sensors, data science, and deterministic models to detect Indicators of Compromise and Attack. You will participate in product strategy, planning sessions, product design, requirements gathering and definition. You will partner with brilliant engineering teams and architects across the globe to build innovative solutions for real-world problems.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Is passionate about cybersecurity and believes in the benefits of MDR services to help customers protect their environments
  • Has a background in cybersecurity product management, working closely with engineering teams
  • Has a track record of bringing detection and response products and/or services to market
  • Has a working knowledge of security operations, and is familiar with the structure and rationale for the MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Is a motivated self-starter, thrives on challenge, and has a thirst for knowledge
  • 3+ years Product Management progressive experience in enterprise level SaaS, cybersecurity organizations
  • A history of working closely with engineering and operations teams: defining requirements, writing user stories, articulating acceptance criteria and collaborating with engineering to refine and help scope requirements
  • Served as a core contributor to the creation and execution of the technical product vision and roadmap, aligning with the corporate business strategy and objectives
  • A highly focused and results-oriented personality; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages
  • Worked in Agile development SDLC
  • Hands on experience working in Jira and Confluence, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Pragmatic Marketing or 280Group certification (CPM) a plus
