Job Purpose

Our L&D team is seeking for an experienced Training Designer and Facilitator. In this role, you will be the designer of training materials (classroom and online learning) predominantly of Leadership Skills and approaches.  You will also be involved in some facilitation, mostly to global online audiences via zoom. Design will account for circa 75% of the role so someone happy to focus on content creation and train the trainer to existing facilitation team is essential.

 


Main Responsibilities
•    Develop pedagogically sound curriculum and recommend suitable learning strategies and live/digital solutions   
•    Develop treatment studies and storyboards in consultation with subject matter experts 
•    Perform courseware testing before delivering to users 
•    Conduct train the trainer sessions and evaluate effectiveness of learning solutions 
•    Build rapport and relationship with internal customers 
•    Deliver excellent quality materials, that enable leadership capability development in every intervention, on time, to budget 
•    Working within a global team, able to flex working hours around customer needs regarding timezones 
•    Facilitate sessions as needed to support the wider team (c. 25% of time) 
 

 

Skills & Experience

Essential:
•    Degree in Education, Psychology, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related qualifications 
•    Leadership, Management and Coach Training material designer – design of materials (both classroom and online), sourcing models and methodologies, creation of lesson plans, session notes, slides, handouts and exercises.  Able to run train the trainer on materials created
•    Extensive experience of facilitation of groups – facilitator style (not didactic training style) of training and discussions, able to connect with a truly global audience of different seniority levels
•    CIPD, LPI (or equivalent) membership – must be a qualified learning and development professional with good theoretical background in adult education and learning approaches
•    Experience in working with both western and eastern cultures and able to balance the styles needed for varied group
•    Reasonable amount of hands on experience of leading teams as a direct line manager, and preferably as a manager of managers
•    Must be proficient on using zoom, delivering online training to groups, able to effectively ‘live whiteboard
•    Able to design modern, beautiful, effective workshops using PowerPoint and other digital mediums (such as Articulate, Captivate etc). Experience with authoring tools and learning management systems. 
•    Fluent in English both verbal and written 
•    Meticulous, eye for detail and design, pride in delivering quality work 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills 
•    Passion for learning and research 
•    Strong interpersonal and project management skills 
•    Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and solve problems creatively 
•    Positive attitude with strong initiative to work independently, as well as across teams and departments 
•    Able to pivot and re-prioritize in a fast-moving environment 

 


Desirable:
•    Psychology background and qualifications (or Neuroscience)
•    Psychometrics qualified practitioner – SDI, MBTI, TDI, NEO PI 3 or NEO PI R, Insights, 16PF, 15FQ+, Wave, Firo Element B (Not Firo B), Hogan, Transactional Analysis, Motivational Maps or similar (not DISC)
•    Accredited coach (via ICF, Association for Coaching, EMCC or similar)
