Job Purpose


Sophos is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Operations Analyst to join our APJ Sales Operations team. As a Senior Sales Operations Analyst, you will be a critical part of ensuring our go-to-market processes support the successful execution of business and sales objectives.


The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, able to provide business insights by analyzing and distilling large amounts of data and have a good understanding of business processes.


This position requires an agile detail-oriented individual who can quickly shift priorities and focus. He/she will work on a variety of projects, such as analysis for the go-to-market team, evaluate sales KPIs and other metrics, apart from the day-to-day operational coverage.


Main Duties


Sales Operations

  • CRM: Engagement, Performance, Enablement for all sales.  End-to-end process from pipeline management, sales cycle, onboarding, reporting, sales territories, quota attainment, etc.
  • Sales Productivity: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance sales productivity, simplifying processes and implementation of sales automation tools, creating and maintaining sales process documentation
  • Business Consulting: Working closely with diverse user groups from field teams to senior and regional management in sales, marketing, finance, legal and other functions to deliver timely, accurate and actionable business information providing analytical insights
  • Managing Sales Data: Planning, tracking, maintaining, analysing sales results, in an organized and timely manner (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).  Own the end-to-end process of tracking operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business
  • Sales Forecasting: Proactively monitor and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency in the sales organization
  • Sales Excellence: Ensure the appropriate operation support mechanisms are in place to manage and meet the needs of the business
  • All other duties as assigned


Reporting, Planning and Analysis

  • Participate in monthly review of actual results versus Plan/Forecast with Management team across the functions supported
  • Process review across all supported functions to ensure reporting capabilities align with functional need
  • Drive the provision and communication of value added, self-service reporting by the business
  • Enhance, develop and review KPI and dashboard reporting for sales function
  • Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other business intelligence essentials to the sales organization.  Recommends revision to existing reports or assist in the development of new reporting tools as required
  • Prepare the relevant monthly management financial reporting and commentary for all functions supported
  • Financial modelling: Building complex Excel models from scratch via proactive collaboration with regional team
  • Tracking headcount versus Plan/Forecast to enable scenario modelling and planning
  • Detailed understanding and tracking of key metrics
  • Tracking risks and opportunities to Plan/Forecasts/Rebates
  • Work closely with sales and functional teams to understand and support the business
  • Assist in ad-hoc reporting 


Skills & Experience




  • Prior experiences working as a Sales Operations, in similar industry.
  • Experiences in dashboarding, data visualization, and reporting with tools such as Power BI, Tableau or AWS QuickSight
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Macros, Pivot Tables, etc SQL is a plus)
  • Experience in SFDC
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize while meeting deadlines
  • Proactive with agility to interact with diverse set of individuals across all levels and regions
  • Excellent communication skills / inter-personal skills and influencing skills
  • Experience of working with Senior Management teams
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-starter, proactive and wishing to make a difference, with a track record of achievements
