Job Purpose


This is an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Sales Engineering to join the ASEAN management team. This will be a player-coach role by leading regional presales team to partner with sales team for team quota, own opportunity qualification, solution design, product demonstrations and technical presentations. You will be required to travel and work in the field with your team, customers and partners.


This person reports to the Regional Sales Leader in ASEAN and can be located in Singapore, Malaysia or Philippines


Main Duties

  • Directly manage a teams of presales engineer that are located in several countries in ASEAN + Korea
  • Work closely with country managers and regional sales leader to drive team’s success
  • Leads the solution process, from initial analysis of understanding customer needs through tailoring the technological solution, leading the marketing and pricing strategies while understanding the competition landscape.
  • Drive customer success and help expand deployments and use cases
  • Work with Regional Sales Directors with account planning, strategy and sales calls
  • Maintain opportunities pipeline, coordinate resources and ensure SEs follow the established process
  • Conduct presentation at public conferences and marketing events as Sophos spokesperson in the ASEAN region.
  • Enable and build partner technical community through technical trainings


Skills & Experience



  • 8-10 years experience in technical sales or presales in regional level preferably
  • 3 - 4 years of SE leadership experience
  • Strong experience with both Endpoint and Network security
  • Strong knowledge of cloud, virtualization, SD-WAN, threat intelligence solutions and landscape
  • Experience managing a technical team in part of ASEAN region
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
