Job Purpose:
As a Senior Sales Engineer – Regional Role you will be primarily handling inbound technical requests. Supporting demand generation activities as planned by marketing such as webinars and product information sessions. Providing technical support for CAMs when the local engineer is currently engaged on other projects or not available. The role will have regional responsibilities like, but not limited to: webinars, certification trainings, consolidating of feedback, managing POCs, etc.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Backup for SE’s in other territories as needed and assigned.
    • Responding to requests from internal Sophos Teams.
    • Conducting online demonstration.
    • Supporting POCs (assisting partner who are on site for their POC).
    • Reviewing RFPs, assisting the CAMs on all licensing, technical queries on their opportunities and support concerns.
    • Assisting in the preparation of BOM for the CAMs.
  • Developing and executing timely programs for the region (example: enablement and webinar requests)
  • Engaging partners directly via webinars, phone calls (Zoom meetings) and emails.
  • Supporting the SDR with all technical queries.
  • Maintaining and updating opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Conducting online webinars (supporting:  Sophos Marketing Team | Sales Teams).
  • Travelling around the region to conduct certification trainings.
  • Supporting regional events as resource speaker.
  • Maintaining accurate timesheets and other requirements as stipulated by your manager.
  • Maintaining product knowledge across all Sophos products and being up to date with new releases.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep technical knowledge of security concepts and applying them to customer business requirements.
  • Ability to assess technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills – emails / phone / webinars.
  • Excellent time management skills to balance multiple projects and queries around the region.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of security software industry, including competitors, market needs and trends.
  • Strong familiarity with Sophos solutions or similar competitive products (endpoint and network
  • security).

  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.



  • Three/Four-year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience working with security solutions.
  • A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable position.
  • Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential.
