Job Purpose

The Managed Threat Response (MTR) Specialist Systems Engineer will be a key technical enabler of customers partners and integrators developing and implementing strategy, and influence senior and/or executive level technical relationships. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to work with the global sales organization as a subject matter expert on SOPHOS Managed Threat Response and Rapid Response. Experienced in uncovering and triaging breaches and security challenges in the customers’ networks and drive managed detection and response and incident repose solutions with Sophos MTR services. Actively working with customers experiencing breaches through the Sophos incident response service.

The role will require candidates to show deep understanding and capability in identifying threats and breaches. Actively work in identifying. developing and articulating MTR solutions to address the following:

Gain technical closure of MDR / MTR sales opportunities from customer and partner
Develop Partners and Integrators to outlay Sophos MTR and Rapid Response solutions
Drives sales revenue to meet regional targets

Main Duties
Establish yourself as a trusted thought leader to partners and customers working collaboratively with Account Managers and Solution Engineers and the local partner/integrators within your territory to:
•    Advise customers and deliver solution and strategy for Managed Threat Response and Rapid Response
•    Influence customer’s at all levels including security operations, architects, managers, CTO’s and CISO’s
•    Maintain an in-depth understanding of threat landscape and challenges across industry sectors and their changing needs / key business drivers
•    Recognize new business opportunities in the assigned account(s) and helps to build and qualify the pipeline of opportunities
•    Deliver pre-sales support via remote engagements, product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and answer to technical questions about Sophos Managed Threat Response service offering
•    Availability for after-hours rotations in support of selling SOPHOS Rapid Response incident response service
•    Develop enablement tools for demonstrations, videos, and proof of concepts that show the service advantages of SOPHOS Managed Threat Response
•    Work closely with product management to provide customer and partner feedback on features, product and service direction
•    Enable and support key partners and integrators, allowing them to lead with Sophos Managed Threat Response Services

Skills & Experience

•    Demonstrable experience in networking, endpoint security concepts, managed detection, and response (MDR) and translating business requirements to technical solutions.
•    Industry knowledge of security and network product and technology trends.
•    Knowledge of competitive solutions and solution selling strategies to a level of effectively differentiating against our top competitors
•    Experience selling, demonstrating, installing, or troubleshooting network security products.
•    Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
•    Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems, and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, often under duress.
•    Effective in customer-facing engagement, presentations, and in writing.
•    Focused on continued skills development and learning experiences.
•    Mature and effective organizational and time-management skills.
•    Responsible for own actions; self-motivated; consistently exhibits a positive attitude and demonstrates a “whatever-it-takes” mentality to get things done.
•    Team player who works productively with the immediate team and channel partners and can engage with the product, marketing, and other members of the extended sales team.
•    Contribute to best practice, security update, competitive, and process improvement information
•    Lead and coach other technical resources (internal or external) with subject matter experience

Desirable Skills
•    Bach. Sc. or equivalent and 5+ years of experience as an SE or Systems Integrator
•    Experience managing IT infrastructure
•    Experience with pre-sales technical support
