Job Purpose


As part our of strategic growth and investment in a newly established Inside Sales Hub we are seeking a talented individual to bring technical enthusiasm, passion, skill, knowledge and a can-do attitude to our highly experienced Sales Engineering team, where you will help to provide pre-sales support and technical enablement to our Sales teams.


Main responsibilities of the role include provision of Demo / Evaluation / Sales support, forging strong relationships with customers/partners and provide them with remote product demonstrations and answer technical questions and RFP documents. In addition to this you will work closely with sales teams and act as a trusted security advisor during sales customer calls and meetings.



Enable Sales:

  • Act as a trusted cyber security advisor during sales cycles to demonstrate and loud Sophos protective capabilities with enthusiasm and sentiment
  • Ensure opportunities are correctly qualified prior and during the engagement process.
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis (via phone, email or in person) with prospect technical staff to determine technical requirements and specifications of solution in line with Sophos best practices
  • Assist prospect technical staff in high-level design and architecture of prospect solutions based on appropriate sizing and resiliency guidelines.
  • Address high volume of prospect questions and requirements in a quality driven, comprehensive manner to ensure prospect satisfaction - solutions will come from personal knowledge/experience, co-workers, knowledge systems.
  • Assist and manage frequent technical evaluations by working with prospects through proof of concept testing and implementation with the goal of a strong recommendation to purchase Sophos products
  • Provide technical training for new Sales starters on Sophos solutions
  • Provide technical backup during sales calls


Team Work:

  • Work closely with sales teams and support in technical questions, understanding and on customer calls when requested.
  • Work with external SEs who will provide technical mentorship
  • Occasional provide sales team or partner sales team with product overviews and training
  • Actively contribute at SE team meetings


Personal Development:

  • Pass and maintain Sophos Artilect accreditations in aligned products
  • Stay up to date with continued product development
  • Develop and maintain a strong background in current cyber security issues and trends.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 4 years’ IT experience providing software technical support to end users including designing, managing, administering, and supporting technical solutions
  • Knowledge of common OS and Network topologies
  • At least 2 years’ experience with security solutions (Anti-Malware, Data Protection, Firewalls, Mobile, Email and Web)
  • Good technical knowledge of security concepts and business requirements
  • Ability to assess technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions
  • Strong Demonstration skills
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team selling environment
  • Works collaboratively for a common goal
