Job Purpose
You will coordinate a high-performance collaborative team of Developers, under the guidance of a Development Manager, ensuring that the approach and delivery of all aspects of the team’s work aligns with departmental policies.
You will also ensure that the quality of all deliveries made by the team meets the defined criteria and engage with groups across the business to enable their team to effectively deliver products and updates that meet customer requirements and expectations.

 

Main Duties
•    Manage a small number of developers within a Development Manager’s team, mentoring and coaching them to a high performance, competency and commitment, and supporting their career progression
•    Provide critical and constructive assessments of staff performance to enable the Development Manager to objectively and consistently review team remuneration and advancement
•    Actively drive to deliver high-value and high-quality solutions, under guidance from the Development Manager, within a matrix-management structure
•    Actively contribute to release planning
•    Coach effective knowledge sharing across all team activities
•    Hands-on involvement in coding/testing
•    Ensure quality of releases through Test-Driven Development and test coverage reviews
•    Influence the team to ensure they are demonstrating best practice and championing the company values
•    Incrementally drive and improve system design throughout the project and BAU deliverables
•    Seek feedback from key stakeholders throughout the project (Business sponsors, IT Application team, Support etc…)
•    Proactively monitor, and drive to improve the stability and security of code produced through Continuous Integration; a focus on test automation and security best-practice
•    Contribute to and deliver against the wider team priority list, owned by the Development Manager
•    Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations. Identify trends and areas of weakness, and drive corrective actions
•    Promote an atmosphere of innovation and result focus
•    Other duties and responsibilities as directed

 

Skills / Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
•    4+ years of solid lead experience in a Development team
•    2+ years’ experience in development C#.Net / Java
•    Coaching experience on agile practices
•    Excellent technical problem solving skills
•    Effective communication with different types of audience
•    Knowledge in Security Best-Practices
•    Effective motivation of Team& Individuals
•    Performance Management
•    Ability to manage and resolve conflicts
•    Effective Delegation
•    Excellent written and verbal English communication skills


Advantageous skills:
•    Experience working with Salesforce
•    Risks Assessment and Mitigation exposure
•    Continuous integration / Continuous Delivery
