Job Purpose

This Business Intelligence contributor must be incredibly curious about gathering accurate, insightful information to make clear, data-driven business decisions. Attention to detail and the ability to communicate these details is extremely important. This person will support the business intelligence developers in testing and building business intelligence, automation, general support and administration. This person will be responsible for supporting the expansion of access to reporting and analytics information to all levels of the sales organization from executives to individual contributors.  The successful candidate will have the developer mindset, hands-on data analysis experience, and the desire to understand and collaborate with sales and other internal teams.

 

Main Duties

This individual contributor will be responsible for the following:
•    Work with BI developers to test report functionality, KPIs and UX 
•    Ability to maintain analytical dashboards (i.e. receive and integrate feedback)
•    Identify data warehouse (DW) and reporting defects, document them and verify fixes
•    Design, document and execute manual and automated test cases
•    Provide business intelligence related support to internal team members (i.e. fixing broken dashboards, data scrubs, communicating any data/invoice related issues)
•    Perform other duties as assigned
•    Team member will be required to work U.S. hours. In addition, team member may be required to coordinate globally and, therefore, take calls and meetings during non-traditional work hours.

 

Skills & Experience

 

Essentials:

Hard Skills
•    Sound understanding of data modeling, data quality and data profiling 
•    Advanced proficiency with Excel (functions, macros, pivot tables, PowerPivot)
•    Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
•    Working knowledge of SQL statements and ability to validate data against the DW
•    Ability to leverage Salesforce CRM data

 

 Soft Skills
•    Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
•    Willingness and desire to learn new technologies quickly
•    Ability to work independently and collaborate with others at all levels of technical understanding
•    Good communication skills, positive attitude and team player
•    Willing to work on different time zones depending on business needs
