Job Purpose


The Inside Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting Inside Sales  & Renewals (ISR)  team on a wide variety of projects/initiatives. 


Main Duties


  • Provide pre sales support to Inside Sales & Renewals (ISR)  team, to identify and qualify new opportunities and support technical pre-sales activities to opportunity closure
  • Perform remote technical opportunity discovery
  • Deliver online technical product presentations, demonstrations and solution evaluations
  • Strategize with technical teams in our channel partners to drive net-new business.         
  • Proactively manage and deliver technical information to partners and customers
  • Provide informal training to the Inside Sales team on Sophos technology and competitive messaging


Skills & Experience



  • Technical understanding in relevant areas such as endpoint security, Cloud security and workload infrastructure, incident response, network administration & endpoint management.
  • Deep technical knowledge of networking, security concepts and business requirements
  • Preferred 5 years of experience providing software technical support to channel partners and end users (e.g., designing, managing, administering, and supporting technical solutions)
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of security software industry, including competitors, market needs and trends
  • Familiarity with Sophos solutions or similar competitive products an advantage
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure (preferred)
  • Self-motivated and excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyse complex scenarios and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution.
  • The ability to fully understand a prospects architectures and quickly identify possible gaps or opportunities for bypassing traditional security technologies.
