Job Purpose

Sophos is currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Global Support Services team. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution and implementation of projects. You will be an integral part of achieving the goal of providing our customers with rapid deployment of Sophos products primarily in conjunction with Sophos’ Managed Threat Response (MTR) Rapid Response Function. 

This is an individual contributor role which will work with internal teams to define requirements and direct a team of global resources to coordinate and execute deployments of Sophos products into customer environments.

This incumbent will report directly to our Director – Tech Support.

Main Duties
•    Plan, manage and execute multiple projects; including complex customer implementations
•    Identify project scope and associated deliverables
•    Develop full scale project plans/timelines
•    Manage project plans/timelines, scope, risks, issues and change control
•    Track and communicate project progress against agreed deliverables, this includes escalating any identified risks that may negatively impact the customer’s expectations. When necessary provide updates to management and leadership teams; obtaining approval for project actions
•    Plan, coordinate and execute project implementation
•    Determine project resource requirements; staffing, software, hardware and facilities
•    Provide leadership, direction and guidance for the project team to ensure project deliverables are completed timely and accurately
•    Work closely with the project team from initiation to launch bringing the customer angle to every decision
•    Lead project team through post go-live/stabilization to successfully resolve any issues
•    Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service
•    Provide project status updates and reporting to management
•    Work closely with internal teams and leadership on developing processes and improvements
•    Travel approximately 10-20% annually for customer visits
•    Flexibility to work outside of core hours when necessary
•    Other duties as assigned by management


Skills & Experience

Essentials:
•    4-7 years managing technical projects. Preference given to IT security industry-related experience.
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
•    Advanced knowledge of Project Management methodologies; theoretical, practical aspect, tools and techniques
•    Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills required
•    Excellent analytical, critical thinking, strategic and organizational skills required
•    Experience directing project work to others and handling conflict
•    Demonstrated ability to function autonomously with limited to no guidance
•    Adaptable to changing processes, techniques and situations
•    Professional demeanour, positive attitude and passion for customer satisfaction
•    Thrive in a diverse and inclusive workplace
•    Ability to work with teams at all levels of the organization
•    Strong interpersonal skills and empathy
