Job Purpose

Sophos is looking for creative, talented, and passionate candidates for the Community Marketing & Engagement Lead role on a contract basis with the potential for a full-time permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a marketing, communications, or journalism background and a solid understanding of Community engagement, digital marketing, website development, SEO/SEM, social media tools and applications, digital collateral and online advertising.

As a Community Marketing & Engagement Lead, you will have the opportunity to manage and design marketing promotions and campaigns to develop brand awareness for our online Community support platforms and self-service resources. Representing Sophos as a brand ambassador to help convey the company’s values and personality through our online platforms to drive consistent brand personality and tone across all social properties. It is a public-facing role that must project the desired voice of Sophos.

Main Duties
•    Planning all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, emails, social media, & campaigns
•    Developing and designing layouts of communications such as presentations, newsletters, event support materials and advertising materials
•    Coordinating with the Community team to generate, edit, and publish engaging content to blogs, press releases, social media and websites to attract traffic
•    Managing and designing marketing promotions and campaigns to develop brand awareness
•    Be responsible for reporting monthly metrics for social Support channels 
•    Manage competition logistics, including prize inventory and winner selection 
•    Collaborating with the Community team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented on newly produced Support videos and content
•    Recommending changes to website content, linking and other factors to improve customer experience and ensure brand consistency
•    Overseeing social media accounts, press releases, and blogs
•    Monitoring brand reputation through social media and google analytics
•    Designing social media strategy to align with the company goals
•    Drive new ways of creating content across existing and new social platforms
•    Act as a Sophos Ambassador to build and develop the Sophos Community and provide an excellent online customer support experience
•    Effectively cross-collaborate with various internal Sophos teams to resolve complex issues

Skills & Experience

•    5+ years of experience in content marketing, social media, or Community management
•    Understanding of social etiquette, knowledge of popular social media channels/forums and their differences, especially for application to business use
•    Strong grammar, writing, and editorial skills
•    Organized self-starter that is accountable and responsible for their work 
•    Highly detail oriented
•    Positive attitude with exceptional interpersonal skills
•    Excellent planning, communication, time-management and follow-through skills
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks

•    Experience working with a software or technology B2B company
•    Understanding of image editing
•    Video recording and editing experience
