Role Summary

Sophos is looking for a Senior HR Generalist to provide full cycle HR support to our US and LATAM Sales and Marketing teams. This is an exciting opportunity as we continue to expand our presence in Dallas. You build effective partnerships with the business and care about sustaining a positive culture, and implementing HR programs. Along with our site leadership, you will be involved in shaping the employee experience for our Dallas employees, making it one of our highest performing locations. You will join a global HR team that focuses on delivering results in a practical, simple, and highly effective way, just like our cybersecurity solutions.

 

What You Will Do

  • Proactively respond to a broad range of manager and employee requests and inquiries
  • Primary HR contact in Dallas for all things people-related
  • Provide support to HRBPs and managers on the implementation of core HR programs (annual performance and calibration programs, talent management planning, recruitment etc) for our US/LATAM Sales and Marketing teams
  • Partner with HR centers of excellence (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation & HR Ops) to implement and support ongoing HR programs and company-wide initiatives (eg. D&I programs)
  • Handle employee relations – coach managers and employees as needed, on sensitive and complex employment matters, investigations, performance plans, terminations, policy interpretations etc.
  • Partner with Dallas site leadership to create a high performing and fun environment for all, from onboarding, to culture building, to ongoing employee experience
  • Manage US immigration program and oversee outside counsel’s work on applications
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local employment legislation and compliance
  • Global and regional HR projects/responsibilities as assigned

 

What You Will Bring

  • 3+ years relevant HR Generalist experience, ideally in a technology company
  • Recent hands-on experience in the delivery of all facets of HR, including but not limited to: complex employee relations, performance and compensation reviews, talent assessments, US immigration cases
  • Strong business and HR acumen with demonstrated ability to influence and build strong partnerships
  • Responsive and empowered to take initiative and ownership and has a “get things done” mentality
  • Proven ability to manage priorities based on business needs and able to deliver results in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to adapt to a variety of communication styles and settlings
  • Knowledgeable with US employment and immigration laws
  • Wants to work with a highly collaborative team that holds each other accountable and is all about results
