Sophos is opening an office in Dallas and this site will become the Sales Hub for our Americas Sales Team.  The HR Business Partner will not only support the Dallas office, but will also business partner with our Sales leaders across the US and LATAM.  You will provide full cycle HR support to our US and LATAM sales teams, including employee relations, talent and performance management, compensation and salary benchmark reviews, and job levelling exercises.

Along with our site leadership, you will be involved in shaping the Dallas office to become one of our highest performing locations and making it a fun environment for all. Main Duties

  • Build effective partnerships with the US and LATAM Sales leaders and their teams, as well as stakeholders, including but not limited to Finance, Recruitment, HRBP’s
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Dallas site
  • Provide consultation and coaching to management related to employee relations, talent, performance management, workplace investigations, recruitment, and compensation
  • Work closely with recruitment and client groups on headcount planning
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Compensation, Benefits, HR Ops, L&D) to ensure effective implementation of global and local initiatives, programs, and processes, including annual calibration and salary reviews, talent reviews, job leveling reviews, and new hire orientations
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to align corporate policies with local requirements
  • Ensure consistency in HR approach across US locations as it relates to global practices
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters and understand the pulse of the business and site
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local employment legislation and compliance to reduce legal risks and ensure compliance.
  • Global and regional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned

 

Experience and Skills

  • Prior experience working with sales teams, preferably in a technology company
  • Experience in a strategic HR role, working directly with senior leadership with demonstrated ability to influence and build strong partnerships
  • Recent hands-on experience in the delivery of all facets of HR, including but not limited to: complex employee relations cases, performance management, compensation reviews, and talent assessments
  • Strong business and HR acumen with demonstrated understanding of compensation schemes and metrics
  • Understand and drive conversations around compensation benchmarking and job leveling
  • Responsive and empowered to take initiative and ownership
  • Proven ability to manage priorities based on business needs
  • Ability to think big, understand the why, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to adapt to a variety of communication settings and styles
  • Able to thrive and deliver results in a complex and fast-paced work environment
  • Knowledgeable with US employment laws and compliance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
