Sophos are a leading network and Endpoint security vendor who deliver high quality support to both our Partners and Customers. We are seeking talented Cybersecurity (Network) Technical Support Engineers with fluent language skills in either German, Italian or Spanish (in addition to English). You must be capable of delivering technical support in both languages. 


You are a technically minded individual and will have the opportunity to complement and develop existing skill sets by providing world class technical support to customers and partners for our cybersecurity products. You will join a dynamic and growing team with great room for growth and the opportunity to develop new technical and personal skills! 


Main Duties: 

  • Taking ownership of partner or customer’s reported issues from web, phone, chat and email sources and working closely with the customer/partner until it is resolved 

  • Documenting relevant information and ensuring that the customer is communicated in a timely manner regarding the overall progress of their issue 

  • Ensuring that customers are treated with highest degree of respect and driving operational excellence through quality closures and proper escalation of issues 

  • Working closely with internal teams on new technology introductions and keep up to date with new technologies 


Core Skills: 

  • Good technical knowledge and an understanding of IT Security concepts, including antivirus, networking and encryption technologies 

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, inspiring confidence while leading customers through the steps to resolve issues via phone and email 

  • A strong customer orientation, excellent phone etiquette and an excellent work ethic 

  •  A background or experience in Networking 

  • Language skills – in addition to fluent English we are seeking candidates fluent in German, Italian or Spanish  


Desired Experience: 

  • Experience of installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems, network firewalls and other networking equipment 

  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience with a demonstrated knowledge of fundamentals networking and systems principles including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Subnetting, Routing Protocols, Email, SSO, Client Security and Antivirus 

  •  IT Professional certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Sophos, ICS2, GIAC, Network+, etc is not essential but is preferred 

  • Knowledge of Virtualization, Linux and Windows systems is not required but could be an advantage
