Based in Ireland and reporting to the UK&I Sales Engineering Manager, we are seeking an experienced and talented Sales Engineer to join our growing team to manage the sales process and provide pre-sales technical support to our channel partners and customer base across the island of Ireland.

 

Main Duties

  • Provide technical enablement for partners on Sophos solutions
  • Work with partner sales teams to develop winning sales proposals
  • Support the partner certification program for partners
  • Develop and Support Partner On boarding and develop joint Enablement Plans
  • Proactively manage and deliver technical information to partners and customers both onsite, online, and via telephone
  • Regularly visit aligned partners around Ireland and the UK
  • Act as a trusted cyber security advisor during sales cycles
  • Demonstrate Sophos solutions to prospects, customers, partners or at events
  • Present & Evangelise Sophos Solutions at Industry, partner or customer events
  • Act as a key member of the Sophos and partner selling team from both a technical and commercial perspective
  • Cultivate strong consultative relationships with individuals in customer and partner organizations to ensure customer and partner satisfaction
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry, technical and competitive landscape to ensure the presentation and sale of the best Sophos solutions
  • Attend and support Sophos, Partner or Customer events as required
  • Present & Evangelise Sophos Solutions at Industry, partner or customer events
  • Provide technical pre-sales and sales support for both Sophos and partner led sales opportunities
  • Provide online webinars or onsite demos with partners to their customers and prospects
  • Manage key aspects of the sales cycle including requirements gathering, demos, proof of concept, product specification and complete proposal development.
  • Support the achievement of bookings quota in the assigned territory
  • Log all activity to maintain accuracy of CRM/PRM/Support systems
  • Complete the technical element for RFPs drawing on internal systems and best practice for standard answers and solutions

 

Skills and Experience

  • Proactive self-starter with strong remote working capabilities
  • At least 5 years background ideally in Cyber Security and Network Firewalls or WIFI technologies
  • Track record of dealing with customers of various sizes and sectors
  • Presenting at events and providing support to media for technical content.
  • Proven experience of working with a customer focused, sales engineering role
  • Strong Commercial Skills with ability to turn the most appropriate technical solution into a business winning commercial proposition.
  • Proven track record of effective remote working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to audiences at industry events
  • Manage key aspects of the technical sales cycle including requirements gathering, demos, proof of concept, and product specification
  • Support the achievement of bookings quota in the assigned territory
  • Log all activity to maintain accuracy of CRM system
  • Willingness to travel – Approximately 70% travel within Ireland and some UK with very occasional trips to Europe / USA
  • Regular travel with overnight stays
