The Opportunity

The Sophos TA team is growing rapidly, in order to aid our continual growth and development we are looking for a Talent Acquisition leader to lead our team of exceptional Americas recruiters and drive us forward operationally through programs, data & analytics and innovation. As a key member of the Talent Acquisition leadership team you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the global TA organization as well as will being responsible for hiring qualified “A player” candidates who bring an entrepreneurial spirit, ingenuity, and passion for what they do. This is a highly visible position and will be responsible for leading the efforts that drive global talent acquisition outcomes, including process design, reporting, metrics and measurement, system integrations and implementations, training and compliance, tools, technology and programs. This role will report directly to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition and will work cross functionally with recruiters as well as business stakeholders and partners. 

Main Duties

  • Develop and manage operations for the global TA team.
  • Lead the Americas recruiting team.
  • Ensure the TA team’s ability to continuously improve and achieve its desired outcomes through metrics, measurement and analytics
  • Documentation of process improvements, policies and operational procedures
  • Ensure the TA team is able to follow established processes and use of our Applicant Tracking System (Success Factors) to ensure data accuracy in reporting.
  • Evaluate potential new tools and technologies, manage processes, guide decision-making, vendor management and gage effectiveness over time of outsourced tools
  • Using your strong analytical skills to build reporting, tell the story around the data, and provide actionable insights
  • Manage communication with global stakeholders at all levels and be present outcomes, findings, trends and results to Sophos senior leadership team
  • Utilizing your knowledge of the cyber security talent market for the Americas region, develop ‘top talent lists’ using creative sourcing techniques including referral generation, networking and direct sourcing
  • Expertly manage the full cycle recruiting process
  • Partner closely with Hiring Mangers and teams to understand hiring needs and goals
  • Source, screen, schedule and interview qualified candidates
  • Facilitate the interview process and hiring strategy with interviewers and hiring managers
  • Maintain pipeline activity and candidate status
  • Drive offer process, including closing candidate
  • Act as an internally and externally-facing representative of the Sophos team

Experience & Skills

  • Progressive Talent Acquisition and Operations experience with a focus on project management, tools and systems experience
  • Demonstrated people management experience in a fast paced environment
  • Superior analytical strength, attention to detail, open communication and the ability to work independently on assigned projects and drive results
  • Previous experience working with HR technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and comfortable with giving presentations
  • 8yrs + in-house tech recruiting experience.
  • Vastly experienced in sourcing candidates through advanced sourcing strategies, networking, social media, university relations, headhunting, etc. to maintain a deep candidate pipeline
  • Experience partnering with managers, interviewers, and team members throughout the hiring process.
  • Ability to effectively recruit on multiple positions simultaneously
  • Proven problem solving and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Results focused and able to handle details accurately and in a timely manner. Focused on spending your time effectively
  • Ability to partner and work effectively in a cross functional leadership capacity
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; strong writing and speaking skills
  • Desire and aptitude for learning new concepts quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
