Job Purpose:

Sophos is a global leading provider of cloud enabled end-user and network security solutions delivering annual revenues of circa $800m. Sophos occupies a key space within the cyber security market, perhaps one of the hottest industries at the moment and is preparing for a likely Public Offering on a U.S. exchange in the next 3 – 4 years. The Sr. Director has full responsibility for procurement function of the Company.

Main Duties:

  • Driving key strategic deals across all categories including bundling of third party products into our products
  • Defining policies, processes and guidelines for procurement function in consultation with business and finance to drive
    • Consolidation of vendors
    • Brining competition for each deal – planning in advance –to have comparable quote
    • Vendor selection criteria
    • Cost of ownership rather than transaction costs
  • To coach, strengthen, build and manage a world class procurement function
  • To work closely with the business team to ensure optimize pricing with optimize quality and service levels – truly become procurement business partner
  • Drive end to end procurement process in coordination with other team including legal, finance and business
  • Drive Procurement system improvements
  • Vendor lifecycle management across all categories
  • Responsible for spending analysis and reporting
  • Licensing management of various software

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Preferably master’s degree in engineering/business/economics with finance background
  • A strong technical and commercial background
  • Proven success of operating at senior level within a Fortune 500 international business – preferably at similar industry
  • Preferably a breadth of procurement experience across all categories
  • Strong analytical abilities and financial skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and a proven track record of building capable team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across multiple business units at all levels of the organization both domestically and overseas
  • An individual who can lead and inspire teams effectively
