Job Purpose:

As a Senior Channel Marketing Manager at Sophos, you will be responsible for marketing and messaging for our service provider businesses. This key role is part solution marketing and part channel marketing as you will be marketing our partner programs, security platform, and service provider story. It includes everything from building the Sophos partner program recruitment materials, training our sales and partners, and building the through partner assets used to drive product sales. You will provide leadership and spokesperson expertise both internally and externally – pulling together cross-functional teams to drive program and service launches. You will develop world-class materials, online content, messaging, and positioning for the program. You will be the champion for all outbound marketing activities for our partner programs, and you will work with regional field marketing teams across the world to develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand and revenue.  


Main Duties:

  • Managed Service Provider Marketing: Drive the global marketing content and story for our service provider programs (MSP/MSSP) as well as our Cloud Service Provider (CSP) program. Working closely with the Channel and Cloud sales team as well as the marketing and product teams.
  • Through Partner Marketing: In order to develop the best messaging and programs for these service provider programs you must have the ability to understand the details of our Sophos Central management platform and related products, and be able to translate that knowledge into materials that will help our program partners market Sophos products and services to their customers.
  • The sales, marketing, and engineering teams are located in multiple countries, so you must be willing to work appropriate hours to speak to people in those regions and be willing to travel once that opportunity returns.
  • Develop positioning and messaging that differentiates Sophos service provider offerings in the market
  • Marketing Campaigns: Working closely with the sales team, channel team, and marketing teams, you’ll need to guide development of effective marketing campaigns that drive inquiries, leads, and opportunities to sign new service provider partners. Additionally, you will need to develop campaigns existing partners can utilize to increase interest in Sophos products and services.
  • Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the services to the sales team and develop the sales tools needed to support the selling process. Deliver training, presentations, and demos as necessary to help sales, partners and prospective customers understand our value.
  • Service/Product launches: Plan the launches of new products and services for MSP/MSSP/CSP and lead the cross-functional implementation of the plan, with support for go to market plans. 
  • Market intelligence: A complete understanding of competing vendors and their MSP/MSSP/CSP programs.




  • In-depth understanding of the MSP/MSSP industry
  • Channel Marketing, Program Management, Campaign Development, and experience as a passionate spokesperson in a high-tech environment
  • Experience developing and marketing channel programs, preferably in a service provider role
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing global product launches, preferably with MSP/MSSP product offerings delivered through the cloud
  • Extensive Project Management experience, with specific experience working in collaboration with a diverse range of business functions, customers and third parties to drive change and achieve delivery milestones
  • World-class written and verbal communication, with a strong passion for creating the right content for the right audience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time



  • Knowledge of the Endpoint, Firewall, and Cloud Security market and products with an appreciation of the operational practices, business functionalities and competitive landscape
  • Good knowledge of online marketing strategies (SEO, PPC, social media, etc.)
  • Product Marketing background a plus, but not required
