Role Summary:

As part of the FP&A team, the Manager, Corporate Finance, Analytics will help measure and drive profitable growth for Sophos. The role will serve as an advisor and partner with our finance team and other key business units across the company.  Responsibilities include data structure design, development of self-service analytics, buildout of KPI metric landscape and ad hoc transformational projects with the BI team. 


What You Will Do:

  • Develop self-service analytics to enable the FP&A team greater insights around key business drivers and help define source of truth for metrics landscape
  • Leverage SQL and Python and leverage visualization Tools like Power BI to create performance monitoring dashboards
  • Develop and continuously improve a KPI reporting package that enables and ensures data-driven decision making. Collaborate closely with the BI team to democratize data through a scalable and robust data self-service infrastructure and a set of condensed executive reporting.
  • Identify and interpret trends and variances, understand root causes, and communicate the findings to the operational decision-makers and executives
  • Provide analytical support to the FP&A team for Long-range plan, business casing and M&A deal modeling exercises
  • Serve as a partner for our decision makers across the Sophos Finance team and work in conjunction with our Business Intelligence team for ad hoc projects


What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Analytics or Statistics ideally for a customer-centric tech company
  • Experience in designing and implementing a reporting and data self-service infrastructure from concept to release
  • Advanced understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts and experience with scripting languages such as Python
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business units to achieve results and create organization alignment and strong working knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting
  • Self-motivated, deliverable-focused, strong work ethic and able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to synthesize detailed information into succinct and actionable recommendations
  • Strong business understanding, allowing you to help develop and quantify strategies and tactics that drive incremental growth
  • Master’s degree preferably Finance, Analytics, Computer Science or Statistics
  • 3+ years’ experience mining and analyzing data using SQL and visualization tools like Power BI, Domo or Tableau
