Role Summary

This role offers the opportunity to work in an exciting, open and collaborative environment as part of the IT Applications Business Engagement Team.  The team works closely with business stakeholders on design, implementation and maintenance of IT systems and business solutions supporting Sophos’ Sales, Marketing and Channel Partner organizations.  Our team uses Agile development methods to manage projects and is focused on delivering straightforward, high quality, intuitive systems and processes that are built with both the present and future in mind. 


What You Will Do

  • Assist the business and IT team by ensuring that business processes and requirements are understood and articulated for the technical team to construct appropriate solutions.
  • Test enhancements and bug fixes
  • Assist team in prioritizing bug and enhancement requests
  • Create documentation for business process and system flows
  • Support compliance controls and company policies within IT
  • Assisting the business and user community to accurately capture basic business requirements and enhancement requests
  • Participating in requirements gathering activities and documenting the outcome
  • Identifying the solutions to basic user requirements and clearly communicating these solutions to the development team, test teams, business specialists and user community
  • Develop test schedule and scenarios for both system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Build test data for system test and assist users with building test data for UAT
  • Write and manage system updates to training guide based on business process


What You Will Bring

  • Working towards a Degree in Information Technology, business-related subject, or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • A positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Willingness to learn Agile Software Development methodologies. 
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and wear multiple hats.
  • Self-driven individual with strong initiative who will take ownership.
