Sales Operations Manager

 

Job Summary:

As the Sales Operations Manager supporting SDR Operations you will partner with global Sales Development and Marketing leaders to ensure our SDR, live chat, and small business teams can perform at a world-class level. This role will manage global live chat and small business teams directly while partnering with SDR teams to optimize processes and technologies for global pipeline generation.

 

Primary responsibilities include driving strategic planning for our global SDR program, managing the global live chat program, building out a small business sales development program for the company, and managing technologies that support our global SDR program.

 

You should expect to spend roughly 25% of your time in strategic planning and program management to drive improvements in the SDR program, 25% managing live chat and small business operations, 25% deploying and managing technology related to our SDR and live chat programs, and 25% managing internal partnerships with Sales and Marketing leadership) and external vendor relationships (contracts, agency coordination, etc.).

 

Candidates for this role should have experience in Sales Operations and/or SDR leadership, ideally as part of a global organization.  

 

Main Duties:

  • Partner with Sales Development leadership, Marketing leadership, and Sales Operations teams to determine which tools, process, reports, and business model will take our business forward
  • Collaborate with Sales Development teams and Sales Ops to build credibility and vision for the future of the Sales Development program
  • Help Sales Development leaders with organizational capacity planning
  • Report on and provide insight to the global SDR organization to drive meaningful conversations and decisions for future directions of the program
  • Drive alignment in process across global SDR teams; e.g., drive consistency in lead qualification best practices across various SDR team
  • Program management; identify technology or process gaps, build out a program roadmap, drive projects to closure, measure results for continuous program improvement
  • Manage monthly and quarterly review process for SDR organization, including scheduling meetings, meeting agendas, and following up on action items
  • Develop long-term staffing models for SDR, live chat, and small business teams
  • Manage a company-wide live chat program which includes managing a global team, technology, and operations related to live chat
  • Vet, implement, and maintain live chat technologies, including administration of live chat software technologies and integration with related systems
  • Build out a global small business team and program to handle inbound small business lead qualification
  • Implement and manage applications that support global SDR and live chat programs; includes working with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, IT, and vendors to identify strategic technologies, implement new applications, administer SDR-related applications, and troubleshoot issues as needed (in partnership with IT and vendor support teams)
  • Manage content for SDR training programs and for SDR applications via a dedicated content developer
  • Manage in-bound data flow and quality in partnership with data specialists within the company
  • Partner with SDR management and Marketing Operations to facilitate out-bound/ABM campaigns and SDR prospecting through strategic technology and data acquisition
  • Continuous improvement related to data acquisition and data quality
  • Help manage SDR agency commercials (budget and contracts), legal compliance, systems integration, and standards

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM systems, and sales automation software experience
  • Project management – ability to manage projects and people to drive meaningful technical and process change
  • Analytical skills – ability to assess people, processes, and software to identify opportunities for improvement
