The aim of a Renewals Specialist is to assist sales teams in maximizing customer retention by driving renewals sales for a given portfolio or book of business. Deliver timely and accurate sales forecasts. Provide insights into retention and attrition performance. Develop quotes and become retention subject matter expert including the knowledge of all the available tools and best practices to retain renewals 


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and help sales teams to overachieve sales targets
  • Drive and help manage a performance related culture in the sales environment which includes reporting on performance of Globe, Theatres, Regions, Sales teams, and Account Mangers  
  • Enhance renewal capabilities of sales team to achieve highly effective sales units
  • Coordinate sales teams to ensure the most effective use of sales resources
  • Drive quarterly targets for renewals bookings
  • Quote and help close contract renewals directly with seller and partners
  • Drive engagement across Sophos and/or partners to agree on the strategy and approach for renewals  
  • Motivate account managers, partner managers and partners where applicable to assist in driving renewals to conclusion 
  • Resolve issues raised by customers or partners related to services renewals
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline from week to week, providing accurate and timely updates to management on progress and outlook 
  • Develop an expertise and understanding of Sophos Solutions, GTM Strategy, Conditions of Service, Commercial Terms, and standards for pricing and negotiating renewals
  • Work with Manager and partners to document processes for operational improvement and implement new practices and lines of business


Skills needed:


  • Proven track record operating in a similar capacity, directly managing a portfolio of services contract renewals via direct and indirect channels 
  • Experience in a role demonstrating excellent time management, able to analyze workload and prioritize time based on changing priorities. 
  • Strong numeracy skills and competence with reporting and information management tools, including MS Excel and CRM  
  • A proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with business partners inside and outside the organization, and to leveraging all available resources to support the business process of renewals 
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to achieve results by leveraging resources not under your direct control
  • Analytical - understands data, how to develop insightful analytics and instinct to know when to base decisions from findings and when to question them
  • Experience supporting a global organization
  • Intellectually curious
  • Has strong and confident communication skills - written, verbal and presentation (English). Can present information in a clear and structured way
  • Additional language from the Region is useful
  • Can evaluate and set priorities appropriately
  • Uses critical thinking and has a learning mindset
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in service renewals, Inside Sales, Subscription sales preferably in the software / SAAS industry
  • Working Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, PowerBI
  • Location: Budapest
