Job Purpose: 

Sophos Artificial Intelligence (AI) group is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Agile Project or Program Manager to bring predictability to complex cross-functional deliverables. The ideal candidate is someone who can work with both technical and non-technical teams to manage schedules, drive process improvements, and communicate status to various stakeholders. This is a remote position involving interaction with teams over very diverse time zones in the US, Europe, and Australia. 

Sophos AI reports directly to the CTO and is responsible for developing and maintaining all the major machine-learning cybersecurity technology currently deployed by Sophos. Our work has been profiled in major academic, industry conferences, and publications. As a member of our fast-growing team, you will become a vital team member responsible for running some of the most critical and high-profile systems at Sophos, with ample room to grow. 

What We are Looking For: 

  • Experience managing the creation and maintenance of project plans. 
  • You can facilitate and navigate cross-functional teams through scope and timeline changes. 
  • Proactively identify risks and lead the team to work out the mitigation plans. 
  • Identify and take on process improvement opportunities. 
  • Experience in Computer Science. 
  • Previous project or program management experience. 
  • Ability to see the big picture and dig into the details. 
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). 
  • Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA. 
  • Good facilitation and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to be firm, but also polite and empathetic to project deadlines and milestones. 
  • Excellent self and time management skills. 
  • Willingness to work remotely and the ability to stay productive in a remote role
