Job Purpose


A new role has arisen in the head office tax team. The Senior Tax Analyst will support global direct tax compliance, all aspects of tax forecasting and reporting and advise on tax risk. This will include management of overseas compliance with outsource providers. The role would suit someone who enjoys a broad role working in new and unfamiliar areas of tax and geographies. You will work closely with the business so your approach must be commercial and you will need to be confident in building relationships with the wider business and finance teams.

The role would suit candidates either coming straight from the profession, making a move from finance to tax or looking on building their international experience. Some international travel will be required. An international tax role supporting the international expansion of the group.


Main Duties


  • Supporting the delivery of top quality reporting and forecasting
  • Delivery of world class tax support to the business
  • Supporting due diligence on acquisitions and disposals
  • Communication of tax matters with non-tax stakeholders
  • Ensuring direct tax compliance in every territory where we operate
  • Managing overseas compliance via third parties
  • Assisting in management of overseas tax audits
  • Managing and communicating tax risk


Skills & experience


  • Professional tax or accounting qualification
  • Knowledge of IFRS, UK or US GAAP desirable
  • Experience in international tax gained in a multinational organisation or Big 4 accounting firm
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to drive change
  • Sound commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise personal workload
  • Self starter with the ability to work effectively in multicultural, international teams focused on identifying practical solutions
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills with the ability to present complex subject matter clearly and succinctly
