Job Purpose

Join us as part of the most dynamic Endpoint team in the business to define and build outstanding and innovative endpoint protection products and services to address our target customer’s requirements.

We are looking for someone with leadership experience in Endpoint Protection, Detection and Remediation product experience and ideally with Incident Response practice skills to help us build out our Protection, EDR & IR feature set and practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation within our product and practices that add world class protection features, simplify interpreting, analysing, and correlating complex security events and provide remediation capabilities to our customers  You must possess a good blend of technical savvy and the ability to work closely with Engineering with a big-picture vision that you can communicate to customers, partners and industry analysts. While this role will engage with Engineering, Labs and Professional Services on a technical level it will also be an evangelist for the Sophos Endpoint offerings, both internally and externally. Working with Marketing and Sales with a focus to driving product revenue is core to this role.

 

Main Duties

  • Develop innovative and unique security products and services with a focus on intuitive design and a great customer experience but understand what “drill-downs & drill-throughs” will be required by a specialist
  • Identify opportunities and conduct market analysis to form business cases, so that strategic plans can be developed.
  • Produce product and service requirements documents that identify problems to be solved and features required, assigning priorities to features
  • Execute product roadmaps for product, service and proposition launches and enhancements to quality, time and budget goals.
  • Drive strong commercial results in both revenue and customer adoption across key categories.
  • Engage with Customers, Partners, and Sales as a subject matter expert in order to provide guidance and information, delivering the most effective solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Engage with Marketing to provide your input for the go to market strategy, product positioning, key benefits and other marketing deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers in Sophos, identifying synergies, flagging dependencies/risks, aimed at delivering cross product and cross business unit deliverables while ensuring that the best company-level decisions are taken.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors’ offerings and assist in identifying market opportunities and gaps in the Sophos offerings in order to ensure that Sophos products remain competitive and leading in the marketplace.
  • This position requires some travel to Sophos locations, Partners and Customers worldwide

 

Skills & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of security protection, detection, monitoring and incident response.
  • Line Management experience within product management or technical engineering 
  • Knowledge of how security products are used “in the real world” including threat hunting
  • Exposure to advanced malware technologies
  • Proven experience within a product management or product marketing role
  • Conducting market analysis, making business cases and driving product requirements
  • Influencing at a senior level
  • Technical acumen
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Desire to continually learn and develop knowledge and skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Desire and drive to continually innovate
  • Demonstrated experience with performing digital forensics and incident response using tools such as HX, Mandiant Intelligent Response, FireEye Redline, RedSeal, Encase, or other enterprise tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with log analysis and administering enterprise log aggregation systems (Splunk, ELSA, Logstash).
