Job Purpose


We are seeking a Sales Development Team Leader who will be responsible for the UK based SDR team, that covers the UKI and Nordics (UKIN) regions. You will also support the EMEA SDR Manager in performing tasks and implementing new initiatives across the wider EMEA region.


The purpose of this role is to build and manage a team of highly adaptable, energised and productive SDRs, capable of consistently delivering a high volume of quality sales opportunities for the Sophos Sales teams and its Channel Partners to successfully progress to order. Essential to this role is the ability to work positively and productively with the local Field Marketing and Sales Management teams in the UK, to maintain good communication channels with them, create new synergies, strengthen working practices, and deliver higher levels and sources of value.


You will also need to be effective at creating purpose, maintaining motivation and delivering continued improvement at both a team and individual level. Within this, your expertise as a coach will be essential. With ambitious plans to grow, innovate and achieve unprecedented levels of success, you will also have to be skilled at enabling and managing change.


Skills & Experience


  • Strong experience within a sales environment. Experience working in or closely with a Sales Development Team preferred.
  • Successful track record in delivering targets        
  • Has collaborated with, influenced and achieved productive working relationships with Senior Stakeholders  
  • Defined, measured, interpreted and presented performance goals             
  • Has successfully overseen change projects          
  • Has used coaching to drive positive change and realise potential in others  
  • Experience working in the IT sector or channel focused business desirable
