Marketing Intern


Job Purpose:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our marketing department to provide efficient communication and creative ideas to help achieve our goals. Your work will include collaborating with the Marketing Managers in implementing end-to-end marketing strategies, execution of virtual and F2F events, monitoring social platforms, and conducting market analysis.

In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. This internship will allow you to acquire essential marketing skills, work with experts across the globe, and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies and platform knowledge. Ultimately, you will gain comprehensive experience with a wide range of transferable skills in marketing to prepare you to enter any fast-paced environment in the future.


Main Duties:

  • Work with Marketing Managers to ensure that agreed marketing campaign activities are delivered to plan and within agreed timelines including; creation of collateral, copywriting, proofreading, and email creation
  • Work with the Event Manager with the execution of virtual and F2F events to ensure that all events are delivered to plan including; registration page creation, social media promotion, creation of delegate packs, event reporting, and where necessary attend the events
  • Manage webinars providing end-to-end support from webinar creation, scheduling, registration tracking, webinar hosting, email creation, and post-activity analytics
  • Input marketing leads into the CRM system (Salesforce) and run appropriate reports to check the progression of leads from marketing activities
  • Use internal systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Asana, Zoom, and MS Teams to update information, raise purchase requests, manage workload, and provide efficient communication to the marketing team
  • Create copy and content for key marketing communications and use supporting creative tools such as Taxi and Splash to build newsletters, emails, and event registration pages
  • Daily management of Sophos’ global paid media; monitoring activity, creating posts via Canva, identifying issues, and posting approved content
  • Help to ensure that supporting teams, including sales, support and customer services, are kept up-to-date with planned marketing activities


Skills & Experience:



  • Current student of Marketing, Business, or another relevant field
  • Good project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong written skills
  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to manage own workload
  • Experience of MS Office, particularly Excel



  • Previous work experience in an office environment
  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and social media
  • Passion for technology
