Are you goal orientated? Creative? An excellent communicator? You could be a great fit for our Sales Development team based at the Sophos offices in Abingdon, UK! Your role in the business will be to support the growth of Sophos, by effectively handling inbound web chats and proactively generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.

 

Main duties:

 

To be successful in this role you will exceed daily and monthly targets – creating leads from chats, and qualified sales opportunities from call prospecting. Responsibilities in this role include:

 

  • Uncovering the needs of prospects, and qualifying as new sales opportunities
  • Making product recommendations and articulating the related value
  • As a component of lead generation and qualification activities, researching companies and decision makers utilizing the web, LinkedIn and other research tools
  • Developing detailed summaries of qualified leads for sales & channel partners to understand a prospect’s business requirements and infrastructure
  • Updating prospect database with conversations, competitive information, company size, decision making criteria and other pertinent information
  • Attending and participating in weekly/monthly team meetings
  • Providing feedback and improvements to Marketing and the Sales Development Team
  • Liaising and sharing ideas with the wider Sophos LiveChat community

 

Skills & experience:

 

  • You will demonstrate a strong results orientation and previous achievement of objectives and targets
  • Experience in an Inside Sales or Sales Development Role is preferred
  • Technology solutions sales experience would be an advantage or interest in the sector
  • You are an effective team worker; naturally collaborative and supportive
  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Sales Force) is preferred
  • You are organised, responsive and can easily move between contrasting tasks
