Job Purpose


To support the Global Credit Control function by collecting and reducing outstanding debt.


Main Duties


Provide support to the Credit Control team to help reduce outstanding debt.


To include, but not limited to:


  • Collecting outstanding debt for a large ledger of accounts
  • Dealing with customer queries, via telephone & email.
  • Sending out copy invoices/credit notes, statements, and final demands for payments.
  • Processing credit card payments via telephone
  • Liaising with the sales team and the order processing team regarding customer queries, credit accounts, and order disputes.
  • Setting up of debtor accounts in Salesforce and SAP
  • Any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time

Recovery of outstanding Debt

  • Chasing outstanding debt via telephone & email
  • Recovery of debt on large volume ledgers
  • Providing additional administrative support to the credit control team
  • Support team to help achieve monthly collection targets
  • Other Ad hoc duties


Special Conditions


  • Vacation restrictions may apply at month-end and public holidays

  • Reports to the Group Credit Control Manager


Skills and Experience



  • Customer service – including written and telephone
  • Excellent communication skills / inter-personal skills and influencing skills
  • General administrative skills
  • Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and wishing to make a difference
  • Team player willing to go the extra mile to achieve team targets


  • Credit control experience – business to business
  • Previous SAP and Salesforce experience
  • Excel proficient
  • Strong negotiation skills
