Job Purpose

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Sales Engineering team to provide pre-sales support and technical enablement to the UKI Channel Partner community.
The main responsibilities of the role include forging technical relationships with channel partners to help them develop, enable, support and sell our industry leading solutions to their customers. You will train and support them to provide demo’s, run evaluations, install and support our solutions. Providing partners with per opportunity level support to allow them to deliver Sophos solutions into their client base. In addition to these responsibilities, you will become a trusted security advisor and work closely with Sophos / Partner sales teams during sales calls, meetings and help evangelizing Sophos solutions at exhibitions and partner events. In return, we operate in a fun, nurturing environment that provides full training in our solutions and support you as you continue developing core IT skills to support your developing career.

 

Main Duties 

 

  • Provide technical training & enablement for partners / customers on Sophos solutions (via classroom, virtual or online training formats).
  • Support the partner certification program for partners
  • Develop and Support Partner On boarding and develop joint Enablement Plans 
  • Proactively manage and deliver technical information to partners and customers both onsite, online, and via telephone
  • Regularly visit partners based around the UK and Ireland
  • Shadow partner led pre/post sale installations to help technically enable partners in Sophos solutions
  • Act as a key member of the Sophos and partner selling team
  • Cultivate strong consultative relationships with individuals in customer and partner organizations to ensure customer and partner satisfaction
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry, technical and competitive landscape to ensure the presentation and sale of the best Sophos solutions
  • Attend and support Partner events as required
  • Present & Evangelise Sophos Solutions at Industry, partner or customer events
  • Provide technical pre-sales support for both Sophos and partner led sales opportunities 
  • Provide online webinars or onsite demos with partners to their customers and prospects
  • Manage key aspects of the sales cycle including requirements gathering, demos, proof of concept, and product specification 
  • Support the achievement of bookings quota in the assigned territory
  • Log all activity to maintain accuracy of CRM/PRM/Support systems
  • Complete the technical element for RFPs drawing on internal systems and best practice for standard answers and solutions

 

Skills & Experience 

 

  • In depth experience with pre-sales and / or technical support 
  • Experience in delivering technical training
  • Knowledge of common OS and Network topologies
  • Knowledge of security software industry, including competitors, market needs and trends
  • Deep technical knowledge of security concepts and business requirements
  • Ability to assess technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team selling environment
