Job Purpose

Sophos is looking for a bright, energetic and highly motivated individual to assist with evaluating, building and managing IT strategic vendor relationships - ensuring that vendors are viable, reliable, business partners. Main Duties

  • Assisting with annual budgeting activities related to the IT department, serving as a liaison to Accounting and Procurement
  • Gathering and maintaining information related to vendor spend analysis and contract status and producing reports for IT senior leadership
  • Validating and analyzing report data to ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Building headcount reports for use in cost allocation
  • Facilitating purchase requisitions in collaboration with procurement and budget owners
  • Assisting with contract renewal calendar and notifications

 

Skills and Experience 

  • Technically savvy, with a foundational understanding of software and hardware concepts
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot reports and formulas with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple, simultaneous requests
  • Desire to gain skills leading to a career in technology procurement, i.e., Telecom, Hardware, Software, and Services; licensing structures, as well as license compliance.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication
  • Capable of communicating and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in working with all levels of management and sr. leadership.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, specifically demonstrating an eagerness to support colleagues in need of immediate assistance.
